The Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 528 B.N.S.S., seeking orders to quash the charge sheet in S.T.C.No.181 of 2023 pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Kamuthi,
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the first respondent would submit that during covid-19 lock down period, the petitioners alleged to have indulged in protest and on that basis, FIR came to be registered in Crime No.260 of 2020 and after investigation, charge sheet came to be filed and the same was taken on file in STC No.181 of 2023. He would further submit that the Government of Tamil Nadu had issued 2/4
G.O.(MS) No.176, Home(Courts-IV) Department dated 05.04.2022 for withdrawing the cases registered against alleged violations of Standard Covid-19 protocols and as per the said G.O., the present case has already been withdrawn.
3. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
