ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to withdraw the investigation in Crime Nos.26 & 27 of 2020 on the file of the third respondent police and Crime No.19 of 2020 on the file of the fourth respondent police and transfer the same and entrust the investigation to the second respondent with a direction to investigate the case in accordance with law.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that already the investigation in Crime Nos.26 and 27 of 2020 on the file of the third respondent and the investigation in Crime No.19 of 2020 on the file of the fourth respondent were transferred to the file of the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Thanjavur and it is pending for investigation.

3. Recording the said submission, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Further, the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Thanjavur is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur is directed to monitor the investigation done by the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Thanjavur and ensure that the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Thanjavur is complying with the directions issued by this Court. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition stands closed.
