ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The writ petitioner's father namely, Nagarajan had worked as Sanitary Worker in the Government Dispensary, Shanmuganathapuram, Sivagangai District for over eight years from 1986 upto 1994. He was unauthorizedly absent thereafter and that led to his dismissal from service on 06.02.2012. The writ petitioner's father does not appear to have challenged the dismissal order. He had also passed away on 12.11.2021. At this stage, a representation has been given and the petitioner wants his father's service benefits to be disbursed. I do not find any justification in entertaining this writ petition. As rightly pointed out by the learned Special Government Pleader during his life time, the writ petitioner's father did not make any claim. Even though the dismissal order was passed on 06.02.2012, he had been absent right from the year 1994 2/4

onwards. Therefore, it may not possible to trace the relevant records. Since the writ petitioner's father worked for hardly for eight years, he would not be entitled to any benefits also. The writ petition suffers from gross laches and it stands dismissed. No costs.
