Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the 1/5
records on the file of the second respondent in connection with the impugned proceedings passed by him in Lr.No.UMiPo/Pa/Peru/Ma.Patti/VaU/Kokattu/Aa.No.198/2025 dated 30.07.2025 and quash the same as illegal, arbitrary and thereby direct the respondents to approve/authorized the petitioner's Electricity line extension from the petitioner's D.No.17, Keeerathurai North lane to her Stainless Steel Utensils Manufacturing Unit situated in D.No.1, (T.S.No.1948/3) of Keerathurai Thoppu North 1st lane by accepting necessary fee within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents.
2. The petitioner appears to be running a manufacturing unit. Since there was a dispute between the petitioner and a private party, the petitioner has not been granted an electricity connection.

3. Under these circumstances, the petitioner has tapped the electricity connection from his residential connection for the purpose for commercial purpose.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the impugned order has been passed to disconnect the electricity connection and therefore, the petitioner is being put to prejudice.
5. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submits that in case the petitioner pays the amount mentioned in the impugned order, electricity connection will be restored.
6. Recording the same, the petitioner is permitted to pay the electricity charges levied as per the impugned order. On such payment, electricity connection will be restored immediately.
7. Since the petitioner deserves separate electricity connection, the respondents shall consider and grant electricity connection in accordance with law without insisting NOC from the original owner. 3/5
8. However, it is also made clear that such electricity connection granted to the petitioner provisionally shall be disconnected subject to any orders that the owner may secure.
