Heard Mr.S.Balaji, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.
2. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to give No Objection Certificate, in order to get new electricity service Connection to the petitioner's house bearing Survey No.24/4 for an extent of 1 Acre 21 cents, situate at Kallambal Village, Panaiyur Post, Madurai-625 009, on the basis of the petitioner's representations dated 18.09.2019 and 21.10.2019 respectively. 4.According to the petitioner, he is having a land in Survey No.24/4 to an extent of 1 Acre 21 cents. W.P(MD)No.22517 of 2019 possession of his grandfather and after the demise of his grandfather, the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the said property and he constructed a house in that land. Till date, the petitioner is paying the taxes for the said land. It is further stated that in order to get new electricity service connection, he seeks No Objection Certificate from the respondent. In this regard, the petitioner has made a representation on 18.09.2019 to the respondent. So far, his request was not considered. Hence, he made another representation dated 21.10.2019 through registered post. Since no action has been taken, the petitioner is before this Court. 5.The learned Government Advocate states that the respondent will consider the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law and dispose of the same within the time stipulated by this Court.

In such view of the matter, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, the respondent is directed to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 18.09.2019 and 21.20.2019, on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
