ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a Driver of the respondent Transport Corporation seeking a Mandamus to provide him alternative job as per Section 20(4) of the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner has appeared before a private eye hospital and he has been declared to be un-fit to be a Driver. Based upon the said medical report, the petitioner has given a representation on 29.05.2024 to allot alternative job. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the above said facts, the respondent Transport Corporation is directed to refer the writ petitioner to the Medical Board in Government Rajaji Medical College Hospital, Madurai to ascertain his fitness for the job of Driver and based upon the said report, the respondent Transport Corporation is directed to take further proceedings. The said exercise shall be 2/4

completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
