dated 14.06.2016 and further directing the respondents to pay penalty amount to the petitioner as contemplated under Section 43(3) of the Electricity Act 2003.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondents to provide electricity connection at Door No. 265/A1 situated at Thimmarajapuram, Palayamkottai Taluk. 2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has submitted an application for electricity service connection to the respondents on 14.06.2016 and it has not been considered so far.

3.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent electricity Board submits that the petitioner has encroached the temple land and on the objections raised by the Executive Engineer / the 2nd respondent, the 2/4

application of the petitioner has been rejected. He further submits that similar writ petitions in WP(MD)Nos.5389 to 5391 of 2016 and 27222 to 2727 of 2016 filed by the encroachers of this temple's land have been dismissed by this Court vide order dated 09.10.2023.

4.Recording the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Electricity Board, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
