O R D E R This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.1 of 2021 dated 07.01.2021 for the offence punishable under Sections 409, 408, 471, 477A and 109 IPC.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner was the President of the Co-operative Society. It is alleged that 37 illegal loans have been given, however, according to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the President has no role to play in the said allegation and the Secretary of the Co-operative Society has not been arrayed as accused. It is also submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that even after a lapse of two years seven months, the investigation has not been completed so far and thereby, the petitioner is put a lot of hardships.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents submits that there are about 400 victims in this case, of which, the Investigating Agency has recorded the statements of 230 victims under Section 161(3) Cr.P.C and the statements of other 2/4

witnesses are being recorded.

4. Considering the above, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the respondents Police to complete the investigation in this case as quickly as possible not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
