2. What is under challenge in this writ petition is the order granting approval for the appointment of the fifth respondent as Secretary of the Educational Institution. The period was up to 31.12.2016. The said period has long since expired. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication. 2/4

3. At this stage, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that he is questioning the very foundational premises on which the approval was granted.

4. I make it clear I have not gone into the merits of the matter. The petitioner can canvas all the contentions raised in this writ petition in W.P(MD)No.19499 of 2016.

5. This writ petition is disposed of as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
