ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to grant fishery right in respect of the Sarakaraikulam tank located in Keelakodaiyur, Kumbakonam, Thanjavur District only by conducting public auction in accordane with the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Tender Transparency Act and by considering Petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2025.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the fourth respondent is claiming to be the successful bidder pursuant to a tender floated by the third respondent, although no such tender was floated by the third respondent.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent submits that the petitioner has no locus standi. It is submitted that the petitioner 2/5
is residing in North Street, Saravamanya Kottaiyur, Mela Kaveri, Kumbakonam, Thanjavur District whereas the subject tank is located in Keelakodaiyur, Kumbakonam, Thanjavur District within the jurisdiction of the third respondent. It is further submitted that an auction was indeed held and the fourth respondent was awarded the contract by the third respondent.

Since the petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2025 has not been considered and the petitioner has not produced any documents by obtaining the necessary information from the third respondent under the Right to Information Act, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
