ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the third respondent to issue patta in his name in respect of the property situated in Survey No. 53/3, with an extent of 9 cents, Sithavanaickanpatty Village, Vilathikulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District.
2.Heard the arguments of Mr.R.Murugan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to the petitioner, the above mentioned property was originally owned by one Perumal Reddiar and Alagusamyreddiar and they sold the property to one Packiyanathan in the year 1973. Subsequently, the said Packiyanathan sold the property to the petitioner's father, Kasi in the year 1977. After the death of petitioner's father, the petitioner has been in possession and enjoyment of the subject property. Based on the above mentioned documents in the years 1973 and 1977, the petitioner submitted a representation on 21.07.2025, seeking issuance of patta in his name. The petitioner is also said to have been submitted an application on 15.11.2023. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court. 4.
The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner has not filed proper online application and hence, his request has not been considered. 5.
issuance of patta before the third respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On production of acknowledgment, the third respondent shall consider the online application of the petitioner and pass final orders on its own merits within a further period of eight weeks. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
