ORDER

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 2 to 4 to cancel the double entry patta standing in the name of the fifth respondent in Patta No.1811, in respect of the property situated in Survey No.218/2A, Veeracholan Village, Thiruchuli Taluk, Virudhunagar District.

2.Heard the arguments of Mr.T.Sathiya Nathan, learned counsel

appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4. Since no adverse order is passed against the fifth respondent, notice to the fifth respondent is dispensed with.

3.By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4.According to the petitioner, the subject property is a family property and the patta for the same stands in the name of the petitioner's father-in-law, N.S.M.Mohammad Sultan, in Patta No.811 with the punja classification. In respect of the very same property, another patta was issued in the name of the fifth respondent in Patta No.1811 under the classification Ryotwari Manai. Therefore, the petitioner submitted an application before second despondent on 03.03.2025, seeking cancellation of the second patta issued in the name of the fifth respondent. Based on the said application, the second respondent initiated proceedings in Na.Ka.A1/1154/2025, dated 28.03.2025 and directed the third respondent to submit a report. Thereafter, there is no

further progress. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court. 5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be consider in accordance with law.

6.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to complete the enquiry initiated by him in his proceedings in Na.Ka.A1/1154/2025, dated 28.03.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, fifth respondent and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 26.08.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No cp
