O R D E R This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for expeditious completion of trial in S.T.C.No.1133 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Virudhunagar, within a time limit fixed by this Court.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner is the sole accused in S.T.C.No.1133 of 2022 and on account of pendency of S.T.C.No.1133 of 2022, a lot of hardships have been caused to the petitioner and thereby, he sought for suitable directions.

3. As per ''B'' Diary, S.T.C.No.1133 of 2022 is posted from time to time as the summons to the accused have not been served. Though the petitioner herein is the sole accused and intends to expedite the trial, instead of appearing before the trial Court on the next date of hearing (i.e.,) 20.09.2023, he has approached this Court for speedy trial of the case. Once the petitioner appears before the trial Court on 20.09.2023, the trial Court will commence the trial so that the trial will get progressed and the case will be disposed of.

In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to appear before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Virudhunagar, on 20.09.2023 and on such appearance, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Virudhunagar, is directed to serve the copies of the charge sheet and proceed with framing of charges and initiate trial and complete the same as quickly as possible not later than eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
