JUDGMENT

Today (19.12.2019), the appellant and the respondent are present before this Court. In the last hearing, they are suggested to have a mediation and today, the matter has been mediated in the Court itself and the parties have agreed for compromise. The appellant has agreed to pay a sum of Rs.17,50,000/- (Rupees Seventeen Lakhs and Fifty Thousand Only) as a full and final settlement to the respondent on or before 14.04.2020. They have also entered into compromise. Hence, the Appeal Suit is disposed of, in terms of the compromise memo. The joint compromise memo filed by both sides shall form part of the decree and judgment. 2.As the parties have settled the matter in a mediation even in the Court itself, this Court is of the view that the Court fee https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

A.S.(MD)No.211 of 2017 paid on appeal has to be refunded to the parties, in terms under Section 69-A of the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955. Accordingly, the Registry is directed to give a necessary certificate to the refund of Court fee. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
