O R D E R

The petitioners are the accused in Special CC No.308 of 2023, on the file of the Principal Court for EC and NDPS Act cases, Madurai. They were found guilty by the trial Court for the offence under Section 8 (c) r/w 20(b) (ii) (C) and Section 25 and 29

(1) of NDPS Act and convicted and sentenced to undergo 10 years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs.1,00,000/-, in default, he has to undergo simple imprisonment for six months. As against the conviction and sentence imposed by the trial Court, the petitioners have filed Criminal Appeal in Crl.A(MD) No.1092 of 2023 and the same was admitted on 08.12.2023. The petitioners have also moved this application to suspend the sentence imposed on them by the trial Court. 2.Today(14.02.2025), when this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submits that typed set of papers is made ready and he is also ready for final disposal of the criminal appeal.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is also ready to argue the appeal for final disposal.

4.Since both the counsel are ready for final disposal of the criminal appeal, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
