Seeking permission and police protection for conducting Vinayagar Chaturthi festival and procession from 26.08.2025 to 28.08.2025 at Vallam Village, Shencottai Taluk, Tenkasi District, this petitioner has approached this Court.

2. Mr.F. Deepak, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the first respondent. Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for the second respondent submits that there are two community people in Vallam Village, Shencottai Taluk and they are insisting for permission to install the Vinayagar Statues within a radius of 50 meters and therefore they have not granted permission apprehending law and order problem.

3.Since Vinayakar Chaturti is going to be celebrated on 27.08.2025, the respondent police is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 21.07.2025 on or before 25.08.2025, by imposing necessary regulations/conditions.
