O R D E R

The writ petition is directed against the impugned order, dated 31.08.2024 passed by the respondent and consequently, direct the 1/4

respondent to permit the petitioner to conduct the demonstration 21.09.2024 or any other subsequent date at Head Post Office, Pattukkottai.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has given a representation, dated 20.08.2024, seeking permission for conducting demonstration and the respondent police, rejected the representation, vide impugned order dated, 31.08.2024, the date on which, the meeting was scheduled.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today (i.e.,24.09.2024), the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would submit that the petitioner may be directed to give a fresh representation to the Superintendent of Police and the same will be considered.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner is directed to give fresh representation to the Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur District and on such receipt of representation, the Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur District is directed to consider the same and pass orders within a period of three days from the date of receipt of representation.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
