This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.32 of 2018, dated 24.06.2018 pending on the file of the Thangachimadam Police Station, Ramanathapuram as against the petitioners.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that the first respondent police https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.21206 of 2018 has completed the investigation and filed final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ramanathapuram, and it is pending for committal proceedings and hence, the prayer sought by the petitioners has become infructuous.

3.Considering the submission made by the learned Public Prosecutor, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous. However, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ramanathapuram, is directed to complete the committal proceedings within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the final report in the manner known to law. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
