This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to permit the petitioner to continue to do the service of the High-Level Water Tank Operator at Kannamuthankarai, Periyakannanur Post, Kalayarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was appointed as a High-Level Water Tank Operator based on Resolution No.186, passed by the third respondent on 04.10.2024. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite discharging his duties diligently, the second respondent locked the motor room and handed over the key to the fourth respondent without assigning any reason. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation on 27.03.2025 requesting to permit him to resume his duties. As no action has been taken on the said representation, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition before this Court.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.03.2025 and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Considering the above facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 3/6
27.03.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six
(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the second respondent to consider the same on its own merits. No costs.
