The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing the respondent to consider his representations dated 16.06.2016 and 13.08.2016 and permit him to increase the seating capacity of his tourist van.

2. Mrs.J.Padmavathy Devi, learned Special Government Pleader who has accepted notice on behalf of the respondents states orally on instructions that the request of the petitioner cannot be acceded to. But no counter has been filed in this matter to set out the stand of the respondent.

3. In the light of the concurrence expressed by the learned Special Government Pleader, mandamus is issued to the second respondent to consider and dispose of the representations dated 16.06.2016 and 1308.2016 within a period of six weeks from today after hearing the petitioner in person.
