PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to forthwith register the sale certificate dated 23.07.2023 in EP No.74 of 2011 in O.S.No.145 of 2010 issued by the Sub Court, Srivilliputhur in favour of the petitioner's late husband and make necessary entries in the encumbrance certificate as per the directions of the Sub Court, Srivilliputhur in D.No.548 dated 26.07.2013. 1/4

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner with a grievance that the sale certificate issued by the Sub-Court has not been registered by the respondents has approached this court.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner has submitted the application only on 24.07.2023 and there is certain defects in the application and therefore, they have not passed any order so far and the same is under consideration. The document sought to be registered is a sale certificate issued by the Court, the respondents are expected to register the document.

4. In view of the above, this writ petition is allowed with a direction to the first respondent to register the document in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
