ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.) This writ petition is filed as public interest litigation seeking mandamus to probe into the alleged organ theft reported widely in media in Namakkal area.

2.Earlier, this Court for filing further report regarding the progress made in the investigation by the Special Investigation Team headed by Mr.Prem Anand Sinha, IPS and, adjourned the case. 3.Today, the Chairman of Special Investigation Team has filed a further report. The said report indicates that based on the complaint, three cases of organ theft had come to light and investigation was taken up and three final reports were filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kumarapalayam. As many as 12 accused had been secured 4/8

and proceeded. The status report further indicates that the final report in all three cases had been presented through e-filing on 17.02.2026. 4.Recording the same and as the purpose for which the public interest litigation is specifically filed, has been achieved, we close this writ petition. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
