This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Respondents to complete the investigation and file a final report in Cr.No.2 of 2022 on the file of the Respondent Police Station within a time stipulation by this Court.

2.Heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the Respondents. 3.The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner is the De-Facto Complainant in Cr.No.2 of 2022 on the file of the first Respondent. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that this Petition had been filed seeking early investigation and filing of the final report earlier. He further submitted that the Petitioner, as complainant, had given details regarding the commission of offences by the accused regarding the acquisition of properties by the accused.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that within three months, the Respondent Police will be able to complete the investigation.

5.Considering the stakes of involvement, the Investigation Officer is directed to complete the investigation within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If in case, extension of time is required, they can seek extension of time before the learned Special Judge, Special Court under TANPID Act, Madurai, instead of approaching this Court. The senior Official of the Economic Offence Wing in the cadre of Additional Director General of Police had to supervise the same.

6.The Respondents are directed to act on the complaint of the Petitioner as well as the other depositors, so that at least the assets of the accused can be attached using the powers of the TANPID Act invoking powers of competent authority/District Revenue Officer concerned.
