ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the respondents to issue proper Revenue Patta in favour of the petitioner for the property comprised in S.No.56/1A in Angadimangalam Village, Melur Division, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai, for an extent of 0.70 acres based on "F patta" dated 22.03.2006.

2.Despite the representation given by the petitioner's father as early as on 15.07.2021 for issuance of revenue patta, the same had not been processed. The petitioner's father passed away on 26.12.2023 and even though there was no response to the said representation. After the demise of his father, the petitioner has also renewed the request by representation dated 31.07.2024, which has also not been considered and lastly, a representation was given to the District Collector during the public grievance day on 05.08.2024. Since no action has been taken, the present writ petition is filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

4.Considering the fact that the petitioner's father had made an application even as early as in the year 2021, a Mandamus is issued to the respondents to issue proper revenue patta in favour of the petitioner for the property comprised in S.No.56/1A, after verifying the original documents, on or before 21.10.2024.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs.
