PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondents to secure and produce the person or body of the detenue "the petitioner's daughter Durgadevi aged about 18 years" before this Court and set her at liberty. ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the respondents to secure the detenue, namely the daughter of the petitioner and produce her before this Court.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the second respondent registered a case in Crime No.314 of 2019 under Woman Missing.

3.The case of the petitioner is that her daughter is aged about 18 years missing from 13.10.2019. An enquiry reveals that the detenue/petitioner's daughter, namely Durgadevi, was eloped with one Madhivanan and thereafter, they are whereabouts not known. 4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent is directed to secure the detenue and complete the investigation in Crime No.314 of 2019 and file a final report within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
