O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents not to form a road for the four-lane expansion of NH-744 through the petitioner's patta land in Survey No. 316/1A2, measuring 96.39 cents, situated at Paatakulam, Sallipatti Village, Virudhunagar District, without due process of law. Consequently, the petitioner seeks a declaration that the respondents' action in laying a road on the petitioner's private land in Survey No. 316/1A2, measuring 96.39 cents, without acquiring the same, is illegal and arbitrary.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of respondents 5 to 7 submitted that the road has already been laid and that since the acquisition of the land was carried out in accordance with law, compensation has also been paid to the petitioner. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition.

3. Recording the above submissions, this writ petition stands disposed of without any order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
