Prayer : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the 2nd respondent to abstain from harassing the petitioner in the guise of enquiry based on the complaint of the third respondent.

The petitioner with a grievance that the respondent police is harassing her under the guise of an enquiry, has filed this petition. 2.Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 submits that the third respondent has lodged a complaint as against an unknown person that a sum of Rs.1,95,000 /- is missing from her house. Since the third respondent has doubted this petitioner, they have enquired the petitioner and in fact they have not harassed her. He further submits that the enquiry is still pending.

3.In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed with a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioner. The petitioner is expected to co-operate for the enquiry. 22.08.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet:Yes vrn 2/4
