This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police to grant permission to conduct Kabaddi Tournament organized by Thirugnaya Sambatham and Vidhyabadhi Memorial in celebration of Dr.Kalaingar 100th Birthday at Rajendran Arkadu in Thiruvaiyaru Taluk, Thanjavur District, from 09.09.2023 to 11.09.2023 basing on the representations given by the petitioner on 11.08.2023 and 25.08.2023.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that for the last three years, the petitioner has been conducting Kabaddi Tournament on the occasion of Thirugnaya Sambatham and Vidhyabadhi Memorial.

3. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondents Police submits that the representations given by the 2/5

petitioner to the respondents Police are still pending as the petitioner has not given the details in respect of Kabaddi Tournament to be conducted.

Considering the submissions made by both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to approach the respondents Police afresh and provide all the details including the place where Kabaddi Tournament is going to be conducted, accommodation provided to the players, food and snacks arrangement made by the Organizers and also in respect of medical facilities including providing of ambulance in case of emergency. On filing of such details, the respondents Police are directed to consider the same and provide necessary protection, in case if situation is conducive. There shall be no order as to costs.
