ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to complete the proceedings in Proceeding No.1571 of 2016, which was presented by the writ petitioner for cancellation of UDR patta and other revenue records standing in the name of the fourth respondent based upon the representation preferred by the petitioner on 27.01.2016.

2. It is disclosed from the typed set of papers that the petitioner has presented an application before the first respondent herein on 27.01.2016 for cancellation of UDR patta, which was granted in favour of the fourth respondent. Pursuant to the said application, the first respondent herein has called for a report from the Revenue Divisional Officer on 02.03.2016. Thereafter, no further proceedings have been conducted. 2/4

3. A counter has been filed by the second respondent herein admitting the fact that the application is pending before him. Considering the fact that the application of the writ petitioner is pending from the year 2016 onwards, this Court issues a direction to the first respondent herein to complete the enquiry within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity to the writ petitioner and the fourth respondent herein.

4. This Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs. 13.07.2022 Index :
