to quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to repost the petitioner in Thanjavur Division in the post of Superintendent with retrospective effect from the date of actual promotion on par with juniors within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. For Petitioner :

ORDER

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner retired from his service on attaining superannuation on 31.07.2023. In this writ petition, the transfer of the petitioner is challenged and in the light of the interim orders passed by this Court, the petitioner continued in the same place till his retirement. In the light of his retirement, nothing survives in this writ petition.

2. The statement of the learned counsel for the petitioner is placed on record.

3.1. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. 3.2. No costs.
