O R D E R

The Petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 herein to direct the respondents 4 and 5 to grant permission and to provide adequate police protection for book release function of Author Munaivar Nandhar @ Thangam Viswanathan titled as Vellalaragal Research Book Volume - I scheduled to held on 25.10.2022 between 2.00 p.m to 5.00 p.m. at Kongu Vellalar Thirumana Mandapam, Kamarajapuram, Kaur.

2.By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for the Respondents, would submit that the function is to be held on the next day of 2/5

Deepavali. Therefore, there is a shortage of man power with the Respondents to provide security and protection in the aforesaid venue. 4.The learned Counsel for the Petitioner by way of rejoinder would submit that in an earlier occasion, this Court had granted permission. 5.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor by way of reply to the rejoinder would submit that in the earlier order, this Court had directed the Respondents to consider the date and venue, after discussing the Petitioner. Therefore, the insistence of the Petitioner is not amenable for the date on 25.10.2022. He would further submit that if the petitioner gives an alternate date, the same would be considered.

6.Heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the Respondents. 7.Based on the undertaking given by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner that there will not be any law and order problem with regard to release of book, namely, Vellalaragal Research Book Volume I, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the Respondents 4 and 5 to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.10.2022 and pass appropriate order, on 3/5

or before 23.10.2022. If it is found any breach of undertaking, the Organiser of the programme shall proceed in accordance with law. No costs.
