Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2. The petitioner seeks re-issuance of his passport. He submitted the petition mentioned application. Since the petitioner had come under the adverse notice of the second respondent, the application could not be processed. That led to the filing of the present writ petition.
3. When the matter was taken up for disposal, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the second respondent submitted that the petitioner had to be enquired in connection with investigating the activities of the passport agent. It then transpired that the petitioner had not committed any fault. He is also not an accused in this case. Therefore, there cannot be any impediment for processing the petition mentioned application.
4. The first respondent is directed to process the petition mentioned application and re-issue the passport to the petitioner subject to fulfilment of the usual formalities.

5. The Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
