PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to conduct an enquiry by forming Special 1/5

Enquiry team against the fifth respondent for the serious misappropriation and loss caused to the Panchayat union fund and remove her from the post of the Panchayat President according to Section 205 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act, 1994 and to dispose of the representation dated 18.07.2023 within the time stipulated by this Court.

The petitioner with a grievance that the fifth respondent Panchayat President has committed some misappropriation of the Panchayat funds has submitted a representation before the respondents 1 to 4 and filed this writ petition for a Mandamus to direct the official respondents to conduct an enquiry, as per Section 205 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act, 1994.

2. Mrs.D.Farjana Ghoushia, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 submits that the 2/5

petitioner's application has already been forwarded to the Block Development Officer for conducting an enquiry and enquiry would be conducted by the Block Development Officer. If any allegations are found true, necessary action would be taken. 3.Recording the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader that already action has been taken on the petitioner's complaint, this writ petition is closed.
