ORDER

Contending that the order passed by this Court has not been complied with, this Contempt Petition came to be filed.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader produced a copy of the letter dated 19.10.2023 issued by the President of the local body stating that the amount of Rs.3,85,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Eighty Five Thousand only) shall be paid to the petitioner in ten (10) installments from January 2024 till October 2024. In fact, I had not awarded any interest. Since the respondent is proposing pay the said amount only in ten installments and that too from January 2024 till October 2024, the local body has to pay interest at the rate of 12% per annum. This shall be computed with effect from 22.08.2022.

3. This Contempt Petition stands closed.
