2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he is a member of the Ramayanpatti Panchayat and the respondent No.3 is a President of the same Panchayat. On account of disputes, the third respondent is preventing the petitioner from attending the Grama Saba, therefore, sought for police protection.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 submitted that sofar as attending the petitioner for Grama Saba the police will have to give a protection if it is necessary. 2/4

4.Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to approach the respondent police whenever he intended to appear for Grama Saba, on which, the respondent police are directed to consider the request to give protection.
