O R D E R

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent bank to permit the petitioner to pay minimum interest in relation to the loan account numbers specified in the prayer of the writ petition.

2. The terms and conditions on which credit facilities are extended by a bank is a matter between the concerned borrower and the bank. The bank, no doubt, is required to comply with directions or circulars issued by the Reserve Bank of India in its role as the central bank. However, in exercise of discretionary jurisdiction, this Court is not inclined to interfere in matters of this nature.

3. For reasons set out above, W.P. (MD) No.16211 of 2016 is disposed of by leaving it open to the petitioner to negotiate with the respondent bank in relation to the terms and conditions pertaining to credit facilities availed of by the petitioner from the respondent bank. There shall be no order as to costs.
