PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 4 to permit the petitioner and the entire village people by including all community to conduct and participate in the Sri Vaigai Muniswarar Temple Festival scheduled to be held on 05.09.2023 and 07.09.2023 as per the proceeding of the 4th respondent in Na.Ka.A3/ 4456/2022 dated 07.09.2022 after conducting peace meeting between two groups belong to petitioner and sixth respondent and advised them to conduct the temple festival jointly and prevent the 6th respondent trying to conduct the temple festival on his own without including the petitioner and the village people by considering his representation dated 14.08.2023 and for other such reliefs within the period stipulated by this Court. The petitioner has submitted a representation before the first and fourth respondents/i.e the District Collector and the Tahsildar, Ramanathapuram District that the sixth respondent is not 2/6
permitting the petitioner's group to perform pooja during the festival of Sri Vaigai Muniswarar Temple.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that a peace committee meeting was conducted by the fourth respondent on 07.09.2022, advising the sixth respondent to conduct the festival jointly. Despite the same, the sixth respondent is not permitting the petitioner's group to participate in the festival. 3.Mr.P.T.Thiraviam, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents on instructions submits that the festival for this year has already been conducted from 05.09.2023 to 07.09.2023 peacefully. He further submits that in the said peace committee meeting held in the year 2022, the sixth respondent has not agreed to the proposal made by the Tahsildar and he is not the signatory.

4.Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate that the temple festival for this year has already been conducted and the sixth respondent has not signed in the peace committee meeting conducted in the year 2022, no directions are required to be issued as against the respondents, who are not having any role in the temple affairs. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
