O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to provide adequate Police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and her husband namely Mohammed Illiyas, based on the petitioner's complaint, dated 13.10.2022.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that there was love affair between the petitioner and one Mohamed Iliyas and on 20.09.2022 they got married, but their marriage was objected by the petitioner's parents and they are giving life threat to the petitioner and her husband. Hence, a representation was made by the petitioner before first respondent Police, but the same was not considered and no order has been passed so far. Hence, the present petition has been filed. 2/4

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner's parents gave a complaint and the same was registered under girl missing. If the petitioner is appeared before the second respondent Police, enquiry will be closed on the said complaint and appropriate orders will be passed. Further, when the petitioner is appeared before the second respondent, the petitioner and her husband's safety will be ensured by the respondent Police.

4. Recording the same, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent Police. On appearance of the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to complete the enquiry within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The respondent Police shall ensure the safety of the petitioner.

5. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
