ORDER
The Petitioner has come out with the present writ petition for a direction to the respondents to take necessary action on the basis of his representation, dated 10.06.2019, within the time limit that may be fixed by this Court.
2. Mr.P.Balasubramanian, learned Counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. According to the petitioner, while he was working as a Checking Inspector at Trichy Branch, due to leg pain, he was taking treatment from 18.04.2019 to 28.04.2019 in a Private Hospital. After 1/3
taking treatment, he sent a letter along with medical certificate on 22.04.2019 to the second respondent Corporation. But, the second respondent Corporation has not accepted the said medical certificate but noted the above mentioned period as absent. Hence, the petitioner approached the respondents in person and gave a certificate of fitness for permitting him to join duty. Despite receiving the representation, the respondents did not take any positive action. In the meanwhile, on 10.06.2019, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents Corporation to cancel the absent and to treat the period ie. 18.04.2019 to 28.04.2019 as medical leave and provide salary to that period. However, the respondents have not taken any action. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition.
4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 10.06.2019, on merits.
5.Considering the nature of relief sought for by the petitioner, without deciding the issue on merits, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 10.06.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
