ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioners, based on the representation of the first petitioner, dated 07.08.2025.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the second petitioner had lodged a complaint against the third respondent, who is her daughter-in-law and the wife of the first petitioner. The said complaint was registered in Crime No.374 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent Police Station. It is further submitted that due to the matrimonial dispute between the first petitioner and the third respondent, the third respondent also lodged a complaint against the petitioners, pursuant to which, the second respondent Police have been harassing the petitioners under the guise of enquiry. Hence, the present petition has been filed.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the complaint of the third respondent was enquired and the same was closed by the second respondent by referring the matter to the Social Welfare Officer. It is further submitted that the second respondent Police have not harassed 2/4
the petitioners in any manner.
4. Recording the above submission, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. The parties are directed to appear before the concerned Social Welfare Officer and co-operate with the enquiry. 22.08.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet:Yes Indu To
