Respondents Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned order passed by the third respondent dated 08.12.2021 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the third respondent to give adequate police protection and also providing sound service permission during the "Lighting Kabadi Tournament" on 25.12.2021 and 26.12.2021 (two days) at about 10.00 p.m., to 10.00 a.m., at Uchaarichanpatti, Melur Taluk, Madurai District. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents. 2.The petitioner wants to conduct the petition mentioned sports event. In this regard, he submitted a representation to the third respondent on 08.12.2021. However, the third respondent has passed the impugned order rejecting the petitioner's request. Challenging the same, this writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate submitted that no adverse incident took place during the last year. In view of the same, the order impugned in this writ petition is quashed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

4. Since social life has almost returned to normalcy, the second respondent is directed to grant permission to the petitioner herein to conduct the petition mentioned sports event. It is open to the second respondent to stipulate appropriate conditions to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. The petitioner gives an undertaking that he will adhere to the norms that may be stipulated in the order granting permission. 5.The writ petition is allowed on these terms. No costs.
