O R D E R

The petitioners pray for a direction in relation to the provision of monthly old age pension to them.

2. On the basis of written instructions, learned Additional Government Pleader submits that the petitioners may be classified into three

categories. As regards the petitioner Nos.1, 3, 4, 6, 9, 11, 15 and 17, the respondents have agreed to and sanctioned monthly pension to them. As regards the petitioner Nos.13, 14 and 16, the said petitioners passed away and therefore, the claim, as regards them, is infructuous. As regards the petitioner Nos.5, 8, 10 and 12, it is stated that their claim was rejected after ascertaining that their economic condition was sound and, therefore, they do not deserve monthly pension.

3. By taking note of the above developments, W.P(MD).No.16739 of 2016 is disposed of by leaving it open to the petitioners who have been sanctioned monthly pension to make claims in relation thereto, if they have not received such pension. There shall be no order as to costs.
