O R D E R
The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to expedite the enquiry pending on his file regarding the request made by the Petitioner seeking rectification of error in the extent of land in S.F.NO.59/2A and 59/2B situated at Punavasal Revenue Village, Kamudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram and pass final orders within the time stipulated by this Court 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.According to the Petitioner, his grand father Pitchai Ramu on his behalf and on behalf of his minor son sold 32 cents of ancestral property in S.F.NO.59/2 in favour of one Karthigaichamy and Muthuirula Konar. Patta for the above said property has been issued in favour of predecessors in interest in Patta Nos.833 and 1504. Though the Petitioner's grand father sold only 32 cents, patta had been issued in the name of predecessors for 35 cents. Therefore the Petitioner submitted a representation 2/5
before the second respondent seeking correction of the revenue records with regard to the extent. The enquiry is still pending on the file of second respondent. Hence the Petitioner is before this Court with the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra. 4.Mr.D.S.Nedunchezian, learned Government Advocate who appears for the respondents 1 to 3, on written instruction from the respondents in his proceedings in Na.Ka.P11/58324/2017, dated 28.8.2025 would submit that enquiry is pending on the file of second respondent and he called for a report from the Assistant Director of Survey, Ramanathapuram.
5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to complete the enquiry initiated by him in File NO.P11/58324/2017 based on the application submitted by the Petitioner, dated 12.3.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits, after affording reasonable opportunity to the Petitioner and other interested parties, if any, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of a copy of this order.
6.With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
