Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 to 4 to rectify the mistake made in the name in the Town Survey Land Register as "Subbaiah S/o.Karuppaiah" instead of 'Karupaiah S/o.Karupaiah' for the property of Town Survey No.469/5B - Old Town Survey No.469/5B, to an extent of 8 1/2 cent, situated at Karaikudi Block-13, Ward No.16, Karaikudi Town & Taluk, Sivagangai District, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 09.01.2024 and pass such further or other orders as this Court.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents 2 to 4 to rectify the mistake made in the name in the Town Survey Land Register as "Subbaiah S/o.Karuppaiah" instead of 'Karupaiah S/o.Karupaiah' for the property of Town Survey No.469/5B - Old Town Survey No.469/5B, to an extent of 8 1/2 cent, situated at Karaikudi Block-13, Ward 2/5

No.16, Karaikudi Town & Taluk, Sivagangai District, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 09.01.2024.

2. The fifth respondent has taken notice and he has no objection to change the name of the petitioner's father in the Town Survey Number Land Register.

3. Recording the same, a Mandamus is issued to the respondents 2 to 4 to rectify the mistake in the Town Survey Land Register by changing the name 'Karupaiah, S/o.Karupaiah' as "Subbaiah, S/o.Karuppaiah". The said exercise shall be done with a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands allowed, accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
