ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to provide electricity service connection (LT) instead of LTCT to the premises of the petitioner's commercial building complexes based on his representation dated 19.07.2024.
2.It is the grievance of the petitioner that he is the owner of the commercial building complexes and he is running two marriage halls, namely Archana Mahal and Archana Mini Hall. The two halls are situated in adjoining buildings and they are no way connected to each other. He has also obtained LT service connection. However, the respondents have suddenly changed the electricity connection as LTCT connection without any notice or enquiry. Hence, in this regard, the petitioner has made a representation dated 19.07.2024. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submitted that two separate service connection for the same building is being used by the petitioner. Originally, the consumption charged was granted to 49 kV. Since 2/5
the consumption charge was exceeded beyond 49 kV, the two service connections granted to the petitioner have been merged. 4.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed on record.
5.At any event, the petitioner has to be put on notice and after considering the objections raised by the petitioner, the respondents ought to have passed the order. However, the service connection has been changed without providing any opportunity to the petitioner.
6.In such view of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.07.2024 after hearing the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
