This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Declaration, to declare that the reservation made in respect of the petitioners' land in Re-Survey No.73/20, Patta No.2550, Vandiyur Bit-I, Madurai East, Madurai, and Re-Survey No. 73/21A, Patta No.2550, Vandiyur Bit - I, Madurai East, Madurai forming part of the Vandiyur (Bit-I) Detailed Development Plan No.2 to have lapsed in light of Section 38 of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act 1971.

2. It is informed that no further proceedings have been initiated pursuant to the aforesaid plan.

3. This Court has already passed an order in respect of the very same detailed development plan in W.P(MD)No.30395 of 2024, dated 06.01.2025 in the case of S.Naina Mohamed Vs.The Director of Town and Country Planning and others.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent 1 and 3 also confirms the position.

5. Considering the same, the writ petition stands allowed as prayed for. No costs.
