The petitioner seeks a direction for consideration of his representation for construction of a house under Indira Awaas Yojana Scheme.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader submits, on written instructions, for the respondents that the petitioner is not eligible under the currently applicable Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Scheme. She also invites my attention to paragraph No.6 of the counter filed by the second respondent and points out that the petitioner lives at Otthakadai Panchayat and not at Kottampatti Panchayat. Therefore, she submits that the petitioner is not entitled to the relief claimed.

3. In view of the categorical statement in the counter of the second respondent that the petitioner does not reside within the limits of

Kottampatti Panchayat, the relief claimed cannot be granted. However, it is open to the petitioner to apply to the authority concerned in Otthakadai Panchayat.

4. Accordingly, W.P(MD).No.17100 of 2016 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
