Prayer in Crl.OP(MD)No.22591/18 This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the third respondent herein to complete the investigation and file the charge sheet in Crime No.254 of 2018, on the file of the 3rd respondent within the time stipulated by this Court.

This contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondent for disobeying the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.22591 of 2018, dated 21.12.2018. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that as directed by this Court dated 21.12.2018, the third respondent/Inspector of Police, Courtallam Police Station / Contemnor had conducted investigation in Crime No.254 of 2018 and referred the same as "further action dropped" on 27.05.2019 itself. 3.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this contempt petition is closed.
