ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to issue free house site patta in his favour in respect of the land situated in Survey No.491, 267, Sivagiripatti Village Group, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District, in the light of G.O(Ms)No.318, Revenue Department, dated 30.08.2019.
2.Heard the arguments of Mr.V.Kannan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.According to the petitioner, he submitted a representation before the first respondent on 07.04.2025, seeking issuance of free house site
patta in his favour and also other similarly placed persons. The said representation has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law. 5.The petitioner sought for a direction to the respondents to issue free house site patta in the land situated in a particular survey number in the above mentioned village. The petitioner is not entitled to insist that the free house site patta be issued in his favour only from the land situated in a particular survey number. However, taking into consideration the petitioner's indigent circumstances, the respondents can always consider his request for issuance of free house site patta subject to petitioner satisfying the eligibility. Therefore, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.04.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the
date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
