ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband chelladurai based on the representation dated 22.10.2019.

2. The petitioner is the daughter of the fourth respondent herein. She fell in love with one Chelladurai and also got married and their marriage is yet to be registered before the concerned Registrar. The fourth respondent being the father of the petitioner objected the same and also threatened them with dire consequences. Therefore the petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent and at the same time the fourth respondent also lodged a complaint as against the petitioner's husband and the petitioner herein. Both the complaints were enquired by the second respondent and both the complaints were closed.

3. However, if the petitioner lodges a fresh complaint seeking police protection at the hands of her own father, the second respondent is directed to conduct enquiry and provide adequate police protection to the petitioner on payment of necessary charges.

4. With the above observation and direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
